QUANTUM PROJECT / boghe - lordh - nine878 - aintsane.

Dojo Clothing presents for the spring/summer 2011, the new mini t-shirt line called QUANTUM. The name comes from the artistic collective which includes the four
Italian artists Nine878, Lordh, and Aintsane Boghe, all based in Amsterdam, who
designed the graphics of the entire line consisting of four variants in black or white
cotton. The line departs from Dojo Clothing’s style proposing graphics ispired by the
geometric imaginary typical of the electro scene.

For the launch of the collection is also available a promo video proposed on the
Facebook page of Dojo.

The line will be available for sale in the best shops.

NINE878:
Nine878 used to be a medicinal chemist pretending to be a writer in his spare time.
Willing to explore any creative and geographic possibility, he moved to Amsterdam
where he’s stuck trying to create beautiful and honest motion/graphics. Probably he
will irreversibly move and be stuck again and again until he will find out that the
highest human condition, the one necessary to invent the divinity, doesn’t lie in the equilibrium of reversible processes. For some people Past is the only real dimension.
For these people living means essentially to update their own Past, that’s in the end
what he’s constantly busy with.

LORDH:
Lordh is a Amsterdam - based artist and graphic designer. He stated his name in
Perugia (Italy) graffiti scene since ’94. During these years the main influences were
coming from New York, and European graffiti. When his style improved the focus
started moving on legal productions, which made it possible to show more of his style.
This change allowed Lordh to start working as a graphic designer at the age of 21.
At the age of 25 opportunities seemed to be limited in Italy, when on the same time
inspiration was bigger than ever; a move to the Netherlands was made in order to
fill this gap.Arriving there meant working within a bigger spectrum of clients in a new environment and collaborating with companies. His artworks have been exposed
in several galleries , shops and exhibitions.

AINTSANE:
Aintsane mostly known as Mr.Valente is born in a little town closed to Naples, in the south of Italy. After the High School, Mr Valente moved to the USA for six months to have that what he calls "a life experience". When back to Italy, he start to study graphic design and after few years of freelance works for small Italian agencies, he decided to move to Amsterdam searching for new work experiences and new stimulus, directions and inspirations. His artworks are a strange mix of manipulated pictures, illustrations, typography and vectorial elements with a particular attention for the colors.

BOGHE:
Mystery has surrounded this illustrious artist since his birth. Not only are there many shady areas concerning his death, but also his very birth. Born in Perugia around about 1975. We know nothing of his childhood and very little of his adult life, but this precursor of savant garde may well have been illiterate, and what we do know originates from what is narrated by TwoThings and the HelloSavants; he appears and disappears in their tales, eluding all pursuit, fascinating and enigmatic at once. He made it to Amsterdam in the year 2000, maybe by ship, probably convinced that such places would have been able to offer him things he would not have found elsewhere.
Once the war was over, Rocco went back to his old habits, smuggling spray cans and stealing toys.
